STUDENTS IN ACTION | Volunteer Projects
 

SHAPE students have completed many community service projects and contributed countless hours of time since 2002 to help those in need.

Here are just a few:

Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center – helped wrap holiday gifts
Tourette’s Syndrome – volunteered as ushers at fundraising event
Hurricane Katrina Victims – organized a teddy bear drive
Hepburn Center – volunteered with after school program and the elderly
Salvation Army – helped organize gift baskets and distribute bicycles
Mitchell Moore Community Center – volunteered in the after school program
Covenant House – organized a toiletry drive
Broward County Schools – filmed video to educate students about teen pregnancy and peer pressure
US Army – sent numerous correspondence to the troops in Iraq
Children’s Home Society – Organized canned food and book drive
Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center – organized canned food drive
Hope Lodge – organized a Valentine’s Day party for patients
Migrant Farm Workers – organized a holiday party and distributed gifts to the children
Alzheimer’s Patients  - visited patients and played games
