Students In Action
SHAPE students have completed many community service projects and contributed countless hours of time since 2002 to help those in need.
Here are just a few:
- Miami Man Triathlon - Helped set-up, participate and clean-up
- American Diabetes Association - MuVe - Tour de Cure event
- Chapman Partnership - made PBJs for homeless
- YMCA - Valentines Gram - made and distributed candy and cookies at YMCA Open House
- Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital - played baseball and served food to children with mental and physical disabilities
- Camillus House - helped prepare and serve the residents
- Girl Scouts - World Thinking Day - organize, prepare and clean-up event
- Autism - Walk Now for Autism - awareness walk support and participated
- Miami-Dade Coastal Clean-up - clean trash and debris from Matheson Hammocks area in Miami
- Miami VA Healthcare - Held a Thanksgiving day party
- Toys for Tots - collected over 100 toys
- Harvest Drive for Family Center - collected over 400 juice boxes
- Teens for Jeans@Aeropostale - Recycle jeans for homeless donations
- HOPE - helped at the 5K run to reduce homelessness.
